QUALIFICATION:
Education: 3 years at technical schools or 5 years at higher technical institutions in "Electrical Engineering", "Mechanical & Plant Engineering" or "Mechatronics"
Subjects - Electrical Engineering: Energy Systems / Information Technology / Production Technology / Drive Technology / Automation Technology / Industrial Electronics / Computer-aided Project Development
Further knowledge: Robotics / Computer-aided Design (CAD) Technology / Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) software
Subjects - Mechanical Engineering: Design & Project Management / Mechanics & Machine Elements / Manufacturing & Production Technology / Automation Technology
Further knowledge: Computer-aided Design (CAD) Technology / CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) Technology / Welding Technology
Practical experience: School-owned workshops and laboratories as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies
Educational option:
Electrical Technician (with different modules) -> Apprenticeship
Completed training as Electrician / Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering / Industrial Electronics Technician or comparable qualifications - additional qualifications (e. g. PLC, DIN VDE) may be required
ACTIVITIES:
* Installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and machines in production
* Troubleshooting, fault analysis, and rapid on-site troubleshooting
* Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
* Assembly of electrical and measurement systems, sensors, PLC, and drive technology
* Performing preventive and condition monitoring, protection and safety tests (fuse, grounding, and protection concepts)
* Supporting modernization and conversion projects, design of supply lines and components
* Documentation of work, preparation of reports and approvals in accordance with quality and safety standards
* Collaboration with Production, Maintenance, QA/QC, Engineering, and EHS
