Job Description

QUALIFICATION:
Successfully completed degree at University or University of Applied Science in “Data Science” – occasionally entrance or application procedure mandatory for admission (provider-dependent) 
Key curriculum topics: Data Science / Machine Learning / Statistics / Data Security / Simulation / Business Intelligence / Algorithms / Data Modelling 

Completed degree in Computer Science / Statistics / Mathematics / Data Science or comparable qualification

ACTIVITIES:
* Development, implementation and validation of statistical models, machine learning, and deep learning solutions to answer business questions
* Preparation of data, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and hypothesis validation
* Compiling hypothesis-driven reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support management and business departments
* Collaboration with data engineers, data product owners, and stakeholders in requirements gathering, modelling, and operationalization (MLOps)
* Documentation of models, methods, and results; creation of use cases and action implications
* Monitoring of model performance, bias, and error risks; regular model audits and updates
* Participation in data governance, data protection, and compliance requirements
* Mentoring of junior data scientists, participation in research or innovation projects

A - Substantial experience as a data scientist (at least 2-4 years) B - Excellent knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning/deep learning C - Excellent knowledge of libraries (Python/Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, pandas, NumPy) D - Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) E - Good knowledge of SQL, database design, and data warehousing concepts F - Experience with MLOps, model deployment, APIs, and CI/CD runs G - Knowledge of visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and/or storytelling with Data H - Basic knowledge of software development, versioning (Git), and agile working methods I - Analytical, solution-oriented approach; teamwork ability & strong communication skills J - Very good spoken and written German & English skills
