QUALIFICATION:
Education: 3 years at technical colleges or 5 years at higher technical institutions in the fields of “Mechanical Engineering”, or “Plant Engineering” 
Mechanical Engineering – different focus options:
Environmental Technology / Automotive Engineering / Plant Engineering / Mining Engineering / Automation Technology
Key curriculum topics: 
Design & Project Management / Mechanics & Machine Elements / Manufacturing & Production Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Automation Technology 
Further knowledge:
CAD (Computer-aided Design) / CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) / Welding Technology
Practical experience:
School-own workshops and laboratories as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies 

Completed technical training as Mechatronics Engineer / Industrial Mechanic / Plant Engineer or comparable qualification - further training in service/automation is an advantage

ACTIVITIES: 
* Installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of machines and systems on-site at the customer’s site
* Troubleshooting, rectification of faults and optimization of system efficiency
* Carrying out service and repair work according to technical documentation
* Preparation of service reports, error documentation, and technical instructions
* Training of operating and maintenance personnel at the customer’s site
* Close collaboration with the design, electrical engineering, and automation teams
* Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
